Experts: Green Travels, Holidays, Vacations Can Help Save Money and Environment

(Boquete, Panama & San Francisco, USA)Amidst concerns about climate change, natural disasters, slow economy and rising cost of living, travel experts say that environmentally concerned American, Canadian and European vacationers are looking for ways to save on holiday and vacation lodging while helping to protect Mother Nature.

Many are said to use sites like TripAdvisor, eco-tropicalresorts.com and Google to aid them in making wise travel choices.

Small boutique eco-hotels, like Panamas solar powered Rancho de Caldera have been well-guarded secrets among nature- and gourmet cuisine aficionados in search of tranquility. And Hollywood celebrities wishing to escape the limelight temporarily value the privacy they can provide.

A spokesperson for Rancho de Caldera eco resort in western Panamas Boquete area bordering on Costa Rica, announced that TripAdvisor® - said to be the worlds largest travel community – awarded its “Certificate of Excellence” to the exclusive small resort.

“We are pleased to receive this award…” says Ranchos American owner Gina Tippit Cronin, “…evidently, people appreciate, friendly green hospitality blending luxury and delicious gourmet cuisine.”

“Our ‘Certificate of Excellence’ …gives exceptional businesses…the recognition they deserve...” says Christine Petersen, president of TripAdvisor for Business. “Travelers… are impressed with the quality of this business.”

Rancho’s owner adds: “on this occasion I’d like to announce a special to the green travel community: book direct and save up to 25% off regular rates for two nights or more.”

Madre Tierra, Rancho’s on-site restaurant led by Chef Craig Miller from the US, is open daily, except Tuesdays, for lunch and dinner. Sample gourmet recipes courtesy Chef Craig can be requested free of charge via email or the resorts homepage.
